If you're planning a trip, a pet passport will give you the freedom to take your pet to any European country, the United States, and Canada with no quarantine upon returning home.

Prepare in advance because you will not be able to bring your pet home again until seven months after the initial rabies vaccination (i.e. six months after the blood sample to check if the vaccine has worked).
