Because our animals can't tell us how they feel, diagnosis is perhaps the most challenging aspect of veterinary medicine.  When reliance on hands, eyes, and ears alone fails to give us a diagnosis, we'll reach for more sophisticated equipment, or, if necessary, refer you to more specialised care.
